This course is a how-to for freelance writers. Which guidelines, tips, and ideas can help writers land pitches and get published? This course explores how to pitch to editors, the best resources for any freelance writer, professional writing tips, and details on the business aspect (e.g. documenting queries, income, and keeping track of files).
Telling True Stories
Everyone has a story, has witnessed a story, or has heard a story. This course is for anyone who prefers the truth behind creative nonfiction, but isn’t sure where to start writing their own truths. We will explore different types of creative nonfiction as well as how to use craft and technique writing devices to write real stories.
